I'm new to linux so i need help, the other day i was watching movie on VLC,while fast forwarding it froze completly,as it was in full screen mode i could not do any thing about it,thankfully it returned to normal after 20-30 seconds...
On windows i could have used a task manager to kill the frozen app by using ctrl+shift + esc or ctrl+alt+del....
is there any similar taskmanager or shortcut is to kill the frozen apps like nautilus or VLC??
thank you....
PS: i think 'system monitor' can be used to kill an frozen app,but is there a keyboard shortcut to open system monitor??

Close hung process much easier by opening Terminal, typing and clicking xkill cross appeared on the busy tasks. Or type in the terminal killall "name busy process"
