Didn't notest this before, but this is really going to be big issue to me. At home I mostly use my laptop with external display and settings missing for the laptop lid... this is stupid. Just stupid. And system sound thing was bad too.

Sorry, I do not know of any extensions or packages that would allow one to control the CPU. Perhaps a forum member with knowledge of such things will help you out.  Maybe the deleted power management options  will be reinstated if a lot of forum members seek their return.  Good luck. Oops, I forgot to mention that in the "wiki" section of this site there are tips in the "Energy-savings Settings" and the "Operations" sections that might help you or anyone manage  pc power.

I have Deepin 15.2 installed on both my laptop and desktop pcs, and I just noticed that my laptop has the power management options for lid closing, etc., which are not  offered on the desktop. In other words, the Deepin OS auto determines when installing if one's device is a laptop or desktop and offers different power management options for the two devices.

No it doesn't. Like I say, I have a laptop and no power options. Have you updated yours?

Yes, my laptop is on 15.2 and is up to date. On the dock it has a battery icon ( which my desktop does not have and should not have) and when clicked goes to power management settings, where there is option to suspend  notebook when lid is closed, as well as usual options to to suspend display or PC after so many minutes and whether to require passsword to wake or unlock, etc. However, there is no option to turn off notebook when lid is closed.  The power options that are now on the laptop or notebook now are not the same and inferior to the options that were offered not long ago. Hope that Deepin brings them back. Sorry, in my previos post I should have said that my laptop has the option to "suspend when lid is closed" rather than is has " lid close options".

Ok. I didn't understand that right what you said before. I tought still have more options than that after update. I hope they bring them back too. I have notest my laptop battery doesn't last that long as it was before. Maybe I have to install some other power saving stuff like laptop mode tools instead.
