I'm in a Macbook Pro 8,1 (late 2011). The keyboard issue I partialy solved using keyboard layout "English (Internacional, with deadkeys)" and extrating the Xmodmap.tar.bz file attached in user directory.
The .Xmodmap file have a script to swap ctrl and cmmd keys, enabling copy and paste like a mac behavior (cmmd+c cmmd+v).
I'm in Brazil, so if you need ã á à õ ... And it don't work, try to run in terminal:
Copy the Code
Cheers!
Edit 01:
I attached a better .Xmodmap configuration... Now both "Cmmd" keys are working well. "control" key still disabled.
