Hi,

I have flash player installed and both Firefox and Chrome detects it and has it enabled, but it doesn't want to play videos. The flash player itself shows, but video doesn't play. I have a few screenshots attached.

How can I fix this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Christoffer

Hi, Welcome to the Deepin Forum. We are waiting for a update to Chrome , but in your case it may be a issue with the site rather then with flash.

Thank you.

It's not on one page, it's on all pages using flash as its video player. And in fact, I had the exact same problem with another distro.

Your welcome. Personally I try to avoid websites that sill use flash to deliver media content and do not have it installed on my Firefox. Many websites have moved on to better alternatives.

I know, I do aswell. But sadly I pay for HBO Nordic to watch Game of Thrones, haha. So that kinda sucks. But still, let's hope that simple Chrome update will do the job.

I do not have access to hbonordic.com , but with filmcentralend.dk it seemed to be a site issue. Google Chrome has a built in pepperflash and we should get a update to Chrome soon and is possible to manually update.

I don't know if my opinion on the subject might help, but, you are probably working with adobe flash for Linux, and, as you know, adobe flash for Linux has stuck on version 11. Some sites require the lattest flash version, and the lattest is 20 (around that). To sort that issue, I would remove flash completely and then I'd install Pepper Flash (the same used in Chrome). When you install this Pepper Flash it will be used system wide by all browsers. Not sure if it will be the solution you need, but I would try it. Remove Adobe Flas for Linux and after open terminal and type "sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash" (without the quotes).
