Hi,

How can I remove icons that have no reason being on the launcher?
For example, Avahi...there's no reason for it to be there...at least for me....yet some other apps need it so I can't uninstall it.. !

Also, any way to completely remove Nautilus without breaking the system?

Thanks

Hi, one method is to edit the desktop file and add NoDisplay=true then log out and back in.
Hopefully Deepin's own file manager will be ready in version 15.2

Why don't you just implement Thunar instead of Nautilus ?

It's lightweight, fast, beautiful and it works properly...

Hi, Deepin decided to develop there own file manager for various reasons. The client is free to use what ever file manager they prefer pcman fm, thunar, caja , etc. I personally do not normally provide information of how to modify default system. Other members here may offer advice.

Hi

1) Adding new item to launcher

Create .desktop file in /usr/share/applications/

log off to refresh the launcher

Or

Right click on item on launcher and choose remove item.

2) If you remove Nautilus you will break Deepin

You can see on that link from Ubuntu Forum

Is that possible to remove Nautilus/Gedit/Treminal ?
