Baidu's cloud storage behaves really bad when you directly download from its web pages.
Its Windows client is not affected because it uses some sort of P2P technology.
I think using a Windows or an Android client will be a good choice.
(And unless you are downloading movies, videos, music or softwares I suggest you use Mega)

Then you should run its Windows client with wine.
There are some minor problems with the textbox in the program: when you type something characters don't appear in the textbox, but are indeed in the textbox. However these problems don't affect most of features.

nah, so far no good, at least for the 2014.3 version, no connections.
i am never good at using wine so i gave up

well, i also have a lot of files there and the 2 tb is just to much to resist.

a bit crude for me on os x,
instructions are not very clear, seems that there were 2 versions
but i got it working and it took me around 30 min to download a 2gb file(still a bit slow, but this is the best i can find)

This kind of approach is not very effective because Baidu is constantly changing its service APIs and network structures to ban all 3rd party clients.
That one of the reason I hate Baidu. So except for searching for music, movies or softwares I won't put any personal files on Baidu Yun from now on.

that method had not been altered for at least 5 yrs, baidu is very lax about this.

I remember that there was an software from Deepin, that was named "pointdownloader" or something like that that had planned add some features and I remember that was planned to add thunder network (chinese too) support (don't remember if baidu too)
For some reason, Deepin drop this project (and deepin talk too)
A shame, because any linux distro is lacked of a software like this.
