Edit (2016-03-05) Solved:
Folowing the https://bbs.deepin.org/post/30796 I have upgraded my system and the issue is resolved. Good! Thanks.
Edit (2016-03-01) Confirmed issue, upgrading not recommended:
The issue below is confirmed by today's https://bbs.deepin.org/post/30785 from Deepin team. Several users had the same issue, it may happen to you. Please take notice that you should refrain from doing any upgrade to the system (control center or from terminal) until newer upgrades that fix it are released - they should be announcing it when it's ready.
Edit (2016-02-29) Unresponsive system:
Ok, on a third system, the system crashed after some upgrades in the command line. Tried to recover with grub's deepin recover option and repair broken updates. It always booted to login but crashed, with a freezed login screen, no mouse, no keyboard. Had to fully reinstall Deepin. And now the connection with the repositories is DEAD SLOW (since this morning in Europe)! Any repository server, official or server! This is taking too long to resolve, Deepin team!
Edit (2016-02-27) New findings:
Ok, after 2 days of unsuccessfully trying to update Deepin 15.1 from control-center very slowly up to ~40% downloads, today it simply notified that it failed and offered to try again, always unsuccessfully. I tried changing mirror servers several times but no change. I decided to try to update it 'manually' in terminal:
Following the successful upgrade in terminal I rebooted and at first login I lost all my custom keyboard shortcuts (didn't work and didn't existed in control-center). Also the desktop 'Computer' icon was reverted to the default deepin (blue) logo icon. Control-center notified that 'deepin patches' updates were available but none were available in terminal, also a 'new driver' was detected. I tried 'updating' in control-center and it asked to reboot again. I rebooted one more time. On next login it recovered all my keyboard shortcuts but the desktop 'computer' icon was still missing. The 'new driver' was just the 'intel cpu firmware' that I previously had used but now was disabled. I select it for use. I selected the default icon theme again in control-center and it solved the icon issue. All seems working fine now.
Conclusion: Something is wrong with Deepin Updates/Control Center. It stopped working. CDN 'acceleration' stopped working. Manually selecting a mirror server and upgrading in terminal resolved the upgrading issue. This happened on both my pc's i386 and amd64, so nothing related to a particular machine/system install. If you are having the same issue you may try the same procedure and see if it upgrades.
Original post (2016-02-25):
Today the Deepin 15.1 system notified that patches and updates were available to install, so I proceed to install them on my several PCs. It's painfully slow! The Deepin repositories servers must be overwelmed. I guess that everybody is having the same trouble. So it seems that it's time for Deepin team to upgrade the repositories server infrastructure to deal with the increasing user demand. You guys just have much more users now than before, I guess. Waiting...
