Today, we formally announce that deepin 15 ARM Edition is officially released!

Currently, the features and appearance of deepin 15 ARM Edition are similar to X86 Edition. There are complete Deepin Desktop and supporting basic applications in ARM Edition. Thanks to the improvements made by the embedded system team to ARM architecture, deepin 15 can be run smoothly with ARM development board.


Meanwhile, in order to facilitate you to experience the porting outcome, we have successfully ported deepin 15 ARM Edition toNanoPi 2.


Finally, we solemnly thank the support and help from Guangzhou FriendlyARM Computer Tech Co., Ltd on the porting work!

In addition, deepin 15 Loongson Edition will also be released soon, so stay tuned!

Please port Deepin 15 ARM to Raspberry Pi 2!
- SoC – Broadcom BCM2836 quad core Cortex A7 processor @ 900MHz with VideoCore IV GPU
- System Memory – 1GB SDRAM (PoP)
- Storage – micro SD card slot (push release type)
- Video & Audio Output – HDMI and AV via 3.5mm jack.
- Connectivity – 10/100M Ethernet
- USB – 4x USB 2.0 ports, 1x micro USB for power
- Expansion: 2×20 pin header for GPIOs / Camera header / Display header
- Power – 5V via micro USB port

In fact, it's possible to install debian sid armhf on rpi2, and then add deepin offical repo and install deepin-specific softwares. After all, apart from the fancy desktop and various softwares, deepin is just an unstable debian distribution.
