Hi,as far I'm know, Deepin 15 has no run dialog, so I do this:
1) open deepin terminal
2) sudo apt-get install gmrun
3) open control center and add custom shortcut (enter two times gmrun), after that add shortcut alt+f2

Now you can run custom commands from destkop by using shortcut alt+f2 (as other DEs allow it)...

There is a run dialog triggered by the upper left hot corner to launch applications. But I would like to see one that opens documents or files like in plasma5

I just discovered that you can also trigger the hidden run dialog by the Super Key as well. Then just type what you want like movie and enter will run Deepin Movie player. But again I would like to be able to open files or documents as well as run programs like in plasma5

Yes, indeed. I use Deepin Store. Gufw is not visible in launcher so I installed this gmrun, and I can run software with run dialog by typing its name. Maybe you should consider to add run dialog to DDE ;) for some advanced users maybe?

I see Gufw is in applications menu now. But we still need some type of run dialog like you suggest.
