How to localize Linux Deepin in Italian

Hello there, just installed linux deepin 2013, it-s really sleek and cool!!

But..I cannot localize it in italian!

So, Im very very unexpert when it comes to computer, anyway i modified my
  1. /etc/locale.gen
Copy the Code

and put into that:

#LANG="en_EN.UTF-8"
#LANG="en_EN"
LANG="it_IT.UTF-8"
LANG="it_IT"

refreshed package cache with
  1. sudo apt-get update
Copy the Code

update my locale file  by typing:
  1. sudo locale-gen
Copy the Code

output:
  1. [sudo] password for nico:
  2. nico@mycomp:~$ sudo locale-gen         
  3. Generating locales...
  4.   en_AG.UTF-8... up-to-date
  5.   en_AU.UTF-8... up-to-date
  6.   en_BW.UTF-8... up-to-date

but system still in english maybe italian language packages are not avaiable yet?

Ok, searched a bit on the forum, so I typed in a terminal:
  1. gnome-language-selector
Copy the Code

and I was taken to that gnome tool:



Clicked on "Install/remove languages" thne picked up italian language download, pplied and reboot...the system for about 1-2 second appears to be italian (for wht I get from the desktop) but then the screen goes black and the system hang! only mous cursor is dislayed, I have to plug off ac dc adapter (!!!)    ops:

A little offtopic: linux depin seems to very very high on sys resources (cou and ram) once booted into the destop top says that it uses between 800 and 1 gig of ram, just being idle

Oh I'm very sad bout that, but again thank you for your very hard work!
